I have noticed over the last few days some noise emanating from the interior of the case, like a quiet electrical buzzing, similar to what you would hear from a refrigerator. I compared it to my newer DT and it does not make any noise at all. Should I be concerned… Is it on the way out? What could be causing it?
Could be coil whine. I would contact Elektron. Keep it powered off for now.
Thanks. I just read an article on coil whine and I guess that’s probably what it is and I’ll just have to put up with it… it isn’t very loud, just noticable. The article says that it isn’t anything to worry about. I already voided the warranty anyway when I fitted a new screen so if it dies I will send it back for repair.
Ahh, you fitted a new screen - was it a direct OEM replacement? Did you make any other changes internally? I would still contact Elektron, they may be able to help you.

I got the screen from Aliexpress… I saw they had different colours so I went with green.
