Non-Elektron desktop sequencers?

I’m really liking my Squarp Hapax a lot as my main hardware sequencer. It has lots of MIDI and CV control channels and fun to use. To me, it’s one of the best all around sequencers available right now next to the Cirklon.

Hapax rules.

  • Squarp Pyramid
  • Oxi One
  • Circuit Tracks – my favorite sequencer for acid lines
  • MC-707 – it’s robust and flexible due to clip-based workflow (well, MC-101 has the same sequencer, but 4 tracks is just 4 tracks, so i never actually used it for sequenceing something external)

and yeah, iPad. i often use it as MIDI only sequencer (so no floating latency introduced by audio plugin delays) – and it rocks. (actually, iPad with Drambo + MC-707 as a sound module is my „default“ production rig for composing/arranging tracks, and other gear comes later on rehearsal stage.)
