Noob question. Unable to record live with chromatic keys?

I’ve seen lots of peeps do this, but doesn’t seem to work for me ?
I hit record and play, then play in notes
Some times no sounds play, sometimes they are cut short, sometimes they do play
But never records the data
I’m sure I doing something wrong, but can’t figure it out for the life of me ?

You have to press play WHILE holding down the RECORD button - that should get you into Unquantized Live-rec Mode

Thanks man, not sure how I figured it out, but I got it working now
