Nord Modular FM Beat sequenced/processed by Octatrack

I’m trying to tame my lust for a Machinedrum and/or Nord Drum. Synthesizing percussion in Nord Modular and sequencing and processing it from the Octatrack.

Kinda trying to make use of what I have rather that giving in to GAS.
If you wanna read the full story and get info on the NM-patch:

Thanks for clearing out the link. Don’t know what happened there.

Really nice work!

I’ve also found the Nord Modular G2 to be an excellent cure for most cases of GAS. It really is the ultimate digital synth.

Find yourself lusting after a Waldorf Streichfett? Just load up the excellent ARP Solina emulation patch someone made and remind yourself you already own a great digital VA string synth. Tempted by that DX7 with super-rare knobby Jellinghaus programmer on eBay? Download a bunch of DX7 patches and drop them into your NMG2 and remember that you already own one of the knobbiest FM synths ever made.

The only synth I’ve bought since getting the G2 is the Analog Keys, because it does the 2 things the Nord can’t really satisfy my lust for: true analog circuitry and a more advanced and physically interactive sequencer.

Ok, technically there are 3 things. I still want a Eurorack system someday. Don’t tell the Nord, it might get jealous.

Good work! Nice blog post as well, kudos for supplying the patch.
I’ve done similar things with my G2 and the Octa, it is a very cool combo. :alien:
