I have a fairly new AH-mk2 i’ve been using for about a month or so with Ableton.
(really enjoying it until now)
everything been working fine since day 1 until this bug.
(very disappointed as I had a nice flow, finishing tracks and was also planning on using my DT and DN with OB soon but thats canceled now)
here’s the rundown of the situation.
been troubleshooting this for hours getting nowhere but increased frustration.
specs:
-ableton 10
-latest version of OB 20.47.1
-latest version of AH 1.20A
-macOS 10.13.6
(connecting using elektron Overhub)
heres the problem:
-everythings been fine for the most part
(besides turning off either overbridge or heat, it crashes Live)
(have to turn them off in proper order, heat, heat plug-in, ob)
-so out of nowhere, meaning no new software updates, daw-updates, Mac OS updates, nothing.
everything been the same since my previous session.
-now when I add the heat plug-on on my master (which is what I’ve been doing
the [active] / bypass button doesn’t work.
-whats weird is that when its turned on its ok but increased loudness and lowering settings doesn’t seem to alter it.
and when I deactivate the [active] button the heat is still processing the audio but just lower and less saturated.
like its playing double!
even when the plug-in is deactivated and all settings like preset volume, drive, wet/dry, etc is all the way off at zero its still getting saturated. just doubled when active.
and when active I can’t mix the settings with it.
everything seems way more accentuated and incorrect.
I tried several times to barely add some slight subtle heat but its always set to super saturated now when active so I can’t even use it now.
when deactivate its the same thing just a bit lower.
only way to deactivate it is by deactivating the Ableton device plug-in itself.
this has never been an issue until now.
