Occasional loss of audio input on Live startup

Hi,
I’ve got an inconsistent bug that I was wondering if anyone else has had issues with.
Occasionally, on starting Live, I’ll get no audio input from the RYTM or the Four.
When I open the OB control panel, the meters show that the audio is coming over USB just fine, but for some reason, it isn’t getting piped into Live.

I have a template setup in Live, which has midi tracks for the RYTM and Four plugins, and respective audio tracks for the returns.
Most of the time it’s working fine. Maybe 1 in 4 or 5 times I get this bug.

I know when it is going to happen, because although Live loads, it hangs for a while at the “Loading template” stage of startup, and when it does finally load, everything runs super sluggish (lots of spinning beach ball of death going on).

The only way I can fix it is to restart my Mac.
Doesn’t seem to matter if the boxes are plugged straight in to laptop, or are going via a hub.
Anyone else?

Will report to elektron hq.

I’m on early 2011 MBP, yosemite, 8GB, 2.9GHzi7, Live Suite v9.2, using a Apple display as usb hub.

I can confirm i have noticed this also when using my Rytm, i normally hear the send fx first then the rest of the audio kicks in a few seconds later

Oh Hi Bob,
Didn’t know you were here.

Do you mean there is an initiation delay in the OB audio inputs for a good few seconds after you start Ableton?
I get that too, every time.
But I mean that sometimes I get no audio input at all. The only way I can get it to work is to restart my macbook.

Yes that’s what i mean, i do not have to reboot though because it just sorts itself out after 30 seconds or so

I get cracks in the audio. Like, it cuts out to distortion every now and then.

Analog Four and Rytm, latest version of Live on a maxed iMac.Also on my SSD MBP. Across both Motu Traveler and a Propellorhead Balance.

Can confirm this audio distortion is recorded, when recording.
