Is that a yay or a nay then?

Green and black, almost a bit rusty style (see what I did there)?
Like this?
(if I only could afford an custom made panel + bottom in the same look…)

Dick Malibu is your man. Offer him a cookie?

It was him I was refering to. Need to invest money into other stuff (studio hardware), besides all costs that comes with family.
dear rusty,
may i ask (carefully) if you have already an imagination of release date/price/payment options for the octaedit ?
no worry, i can wait forever, but maybe you have an idea already ?

Thats why I suggested offering him a cookie
I’d like a black Machinedrum face, just can’t justify the cost at the moment for a purely aesthetic result.
Hey Rusty -
Just got an Octatrack (late onto the bandwagon). Are you still taking on Beta testers? If so, you’ve got a software engineer, producer, and audio engineer who’d love to help out.
Looking forward to purchasing Octaedit once it’s ready for prime time.

Guga! Guga! Guga!
PSA: Guga is awesome!
Congrats!
Ah, I’m afraid that ship sailed a while ago, and trust me, you wouldn’t want to do it, poor beta testers have been long suffering.
Soon…
8 is an auspicious number.
First release will be an “early access” release, just waiting on approval from beta testers, the technical / back end web stuff, forum etc. to be ready to go.
This initial discounted release will be restricted to a limited number of people, first in, first served, and is for the brave vanguard, or foolishly eager…
The “early access” release will be discounted, by at least 20%, and one should only jump in at this point if they are comfortable with the fact that there may be a few teething problems / minor issues, but no showstopping bugs. The idea is to isolate any issues, make enhancements, respond to requests etc, prior to general release.
Price is the trickiest question to answer, and requires more detail, which I will provide in the next day or two.
PayPal, maybe Credit Card… definitely cat food or cookies.
Hey Rusty, I’m sorry if this has been asked before but search doesn’t work very well on these forums and this thread is 22 pages long…
Can your software create patterns from midi files? Looking forward to the release
Trick question!
Yes, OctaEdit can import both Type0 and Type1 SMF. These can then be modified and sent to the Octatrack as you would expect.
But the ‘Midi’ module that handles all this will not be in the v1 release of OctaEdit.
