…but the OT won’t be OB friendly am i right? and even so, i hope people won’t turn their back to you just 'cos…well…aanyway, keep up the good work Rusty, i’m sure all this has been hard work to get it to the stage where it is (can’t tell, don’t have an OT…) but even just from the screenshots and quick videos it is clear that there’s a lot of effort behind it.

There were a lot of changes introduced between 10.6 and 10.7, in the good direction. That means that it’s much more work to create an app that is compatible with 10.6, or even maintain 10.6 compatibility for existing apps. And a very low percentage of OS X users do actually need 10.6, so in most cases it’s not very wise from a developer’s standpoint. I understand that makes some people sad, but please also understand that this is the reality for today’s developers.
Honestly, if I were to create a new app today (with no existing userbase to support for backwards compatibility) I’d target OS X 10.9.
