I’ve recently decided to turn on my Octatrack MK2 that was sitting on a shelf for around 2 months and at first though that the screen doesn’t work. Then I managed to notice that the screen is working but its brightness is at 1% of the original level.
Photos show starting screen because it was the most visible part of all UI. After starting screen you have to go to a completely dark room to understand what’s on the screen.
I wasn’t using it a lot, keeping it turned on probably for less than 3-4 hours a week.
Any idea what might be the issue and how I can fix it?
And a second picture that doesn’t bring a lot to the discussion but probably is good for documenting the issue since I haven’t found similar photos online.

Best would be to contact Elektron support.
Your Display seems to be broken and needs a replacement.
I’d check the ribbons inside…
I am guessing you have tried this but the led and display brightness are adjustable via software. go to Project->System->Personalize->LED Brightness and choose low/mid/high.
your unit seems outside the scope of this being the fix, but it’s worth a shot.
Yes, it was the first thing I tried. In fact it increased LCD brightness but only barely.
