Overbridge + A4 auto channel

Hi Elektronauts,

Before Overbridge I used my MIDI keyboard with the auto-channel on my A4.

Since Overbridge I use my A4 with Ableton Live.
I have a default Live-project with 4 midi tracks (channel 1-4) routed to a track with the A4 plugin. When I want to route my midi keyboard to another A4 track, I arm that midi track in Ableton. It’s workable, but it’s not the same as using auto-channel, since I have to grab my mouse every time I want to switch channels.

Auto-channel via USB doesn’t seem to work in Overbridge mode.
On the DIN5 midi input, auto-channel still works. Maybe there’s some kind of workaround by programming my midi-keyboard to send midi to the auto-channel via the DIN5 midi input on the A4.

I would prefer to arm the track with the A4 plugin, and then be able to switch tracks on my A4. And when I want to route midi to another VST, arm that track.

Anybody any thoughts ?

Kind Regards,
illdoc

No joy here either playing the autochannel via ableton/OB… Tried the other night but eventually gave up, thinking that there was something wrong with my midi routing options, maybe the problem was OB. Got a keyboard hooked up physically now and all is well.

Anyone have any luck with this? I’d be surprised if noone had brought up this bug yet, but then again maybe everyone is like me and was too embarrassed to admit they couldn’t set up midi routing :stuck_out_tongue:
