grammar!!!
all joking aside – the whole process is very well documented
install the over bridge software
link your usb lead to the computer
make sure its selected in overbridge and all the midi channels are selected
open your daw and add the machines vst device
make sure you set your buffers on the lowest they will go - 256 is fine
if overbridge wont get you zero to no latency it may be your cpu/laptop… you might do well to say what youre using
i have no idea why people say overbridge doesnt sync… i can sync the a4 with no overbridge even, its really stable… you may have a severe jitter to your interface
explain what you are using – all hardware and the makes
i don’t have latency with midi ,midi works great,is when i record audio from AR that i have latency (beats are not in grid but a bit less or more)
my first pc
i7 2600k
motu ultralite mk3 (main) / traktor audio 2 buffer 256
ableton 9.7.1
second pc
i5 3570
asio4all
ableton 9.7.1
now i’m on second pc
overbridge plug in show me 84.9 ms with 256 buffer in plug in
with buffer 64 i have 54.9
What sync mode do you Overbridge set to?
I always set it to “Song Position”
Recorded audio will never have zero latency. This is unavoidable.
But it shouldn’t be very noticeable.
i usually use clock and now with 64 buffer on plug in latency is good in che clip
with Song position sometimes i have better latency…but now (i make some records now) work fine with clock
what buffer do you use in the plug in?
