Roland AIRA TR-8 has “CHRONIC” sync/latency issues when used as sound card over USB2 to transfer the internal sounds – 96khz waves
Any more than two channels at a time --forgot it its unusable
This may be a bad sign to suitability of Audio over USB for Overbridge
does audio over usb ever sound good? even with my virus ti i prefer stereo out to my soundcard…
I seriously wouldn’t worry another second. Get this - my audio interface is a metric halo 2882. They are just about to bring an upgrade from the current FireWire to usb2. They are able to squeeze something like 1024 channels per usb2 “stream” at. 96k.
FireWire, USB, PCI - they have no sound at all - they’re just transports, “pipes” to shove the 1s and 0s around
I wanna see a screen shot!
Technically this is extremely doable.

And this is at 4 samples latency. Not ms - samples !
^ Yup, what Dogma said (twice … )
and there is more then enough bandwidth
