Owning M:C when you have the DN?

does it make sense to have the model:cycles when you have the digitone (and the digitakt)? i think ricky tinez made the point that he more likely to play on the m:c, while others say it’s also better to perform on it…

I’ve owned DN for a long time as my main setup with keyboard and other synth attached.

I just bought a second-hand M:C for a satellite setup in my office room, for quick playing.

It helps that the workflow is very similar on the two.

I jam on my digitone with a mate who uses an MC. they don’t compete at all, rather their sound goes very well together imo.

The M:C is more a drum machine than the DN. Using the DN as a drum machine is doable but it’s not really it’s main purpose or not the way I would like to use it.

So does not compete.

exactly what I was thinking, a good thing is to use MC for drums and DN for the rest!

and creative days you can do the opposite just for the fun of it!

The combo is perfect!

Almost regret I sent back my battery bar! But yeah compared to a fire guess that was smart!
