P-lock different values of master FX parameters for each track and each trig on a track

Hello!

Does anyone know if it is possible to p-lock the effect parameters of the master FX channel (reverb pre-delay, delay feedback, delay time, etc.) for each track and in turn for each trig of each track individually (as with normal track p-locks)?

I’ve searched on every possible forum and there isn’t much clear and concise information about it.

I have tried to do it by pressing the FX channel while on a track where there is a clap, and if I do a p-lock (for example the delay time) it changes the delay time of the entire delay audio signal on the same trig/step of all the track, and sometimes even doesn’t work as expected and the p-lock affects all the delay audio signal globally, to all tracks where the delay send has levels up. Quite weird, isn’t?

If I press the FX p-lock trig I see the parameter with the inverted color in the display, as with any p-lock, but it is as if I had not done so, as if I had simply modified that parameter globally without attaching it to any trig or track.

I don’t know if this is possible with the Rytm. There is no information about this topic in the manual, so I’m quite frustrated, assuming that maybe is not possible and I just wasting my time.

The manual shows there’s only one FX send block which each track can access via a send amount.

Any changes to the FX settings are therefore heard on all sends to that FX block.

The FX modulations are for automating FX settings, but these will obviously affect the send on every track in a similar way

At any one time there is only ever one delay and only one reverb etc

Wrt FX track trigs, it’s certainly possible per step on the A4, but tbh, I can’t recall doing or trying this on the Rytm lately so wouldn’t like to say. Easy to check if in front of device by live recording changes to FX parameters

Nice idea

I’m in front of it now and tried to live record the reverb pre-delay on each bar in a 4 bar pattern of a snare track. The recorded p-locks affect all the tracks indeed, but only to tracks where the note trigs match the FX trigs (position).

I did a few more trials.

So, to conclude: it’s only possible to p-lock the FX trigs on the FX master track, affecting all tracks at once.
e.g. > If trig 5 of each page in a 4 bar pattern on the FX track has a p-lock, that p-lock will be the same to trig 5 on all tracks with FX level sends up.

For tracks where micro-timing or polymeter are set, it doesn’t work well. Unless the FX track scale/micro-timing matches other tracks.

I think some cool tricks can be done with this method only if few chosen tracks use the FX sends.
