Part Change - first trig no fx?

I just noticed that when chaining patterns with different parts, if Track 1/Pattern 1/Part 1 is dry (no fx), and Track 1/Pattern 2/Part 2 has, for example, a long reverb addded, that the first trig of Pattern 2 will not sound the reverb. Subsequent trigs sound fine, with reverb added.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a reason for this behavior besides the possibility that it just takes that long for the OT to process the part change?

Something else interesting about this: If the dry part has the same FX type assigned to FX2 as the wet part, the first trig of the wet part sounds fine. Different FX = no FX on first trig.
