Pattern changing immediately instead of at end of pattern?

I’ve had my DT for a few weeks and when I change pattern it always finished playing the current pattern. All of the sudden in my current project when I change patterns it changes immediately regardless of where it is in the playback. I have no idea how I changed that or how to change it back and I want to change it back. I just read the manual and didn’t see anything about this

Have you changed the settings in the length per pattern menu? Page 32 of the manual.

Yes. Patterns are all 3/4 and I shortened one track to 58/64.

edit: I guess it was the change length which I had set to 2 for some reason. I changed it to Off and now it’s back to “normal”. This current project is about me exploring the pattern length and time sigs etc so I learned something
