Patterns save mute settings?

Hey folks,

I’ve seen some discussion of this topic and not sure if it can be resolved any time soon.

Is there a way to save muted tracks per pattern, instead of it being a global setting?

What i’m trying to do is the following:
on pattern 1 i have tracks 1-6 playing.
I select pattern 2, and when the machine switches to the new pattern only track one is playing, and i can bring the new tracks in gradually.

The OPZ does this and its a great feature for live performance.

Any way to do this on the samples, or is an update in the loop re this? alternatively, is there a drum machine with similar functionality to the Model: Samples that includes this feature? ( I really love this device but the global mute settings are a drag.)

thanks or your time,
jordan

Thanks

maybe try adjusting the volume of the tracks you want muted per pattern…

good idea. only thing is I live to automate volume levels to get more realistic sense from the instrument, but its a possible work around for sure!

I have the novation circuit too and that thing is really fun, but I think the samples sounds way better–it mainly likes these mute tracks and a global filter like the circuit does, really ideal for live playing. oh well!

love the MS:… another think you might want to integrate is the capability of the ‘momentary’ muting you can achieve just by touching one or more of the 6 larger pads … while holding them down they mute for as long as you hold them… just another finicky work around but I’ve grown to love the immediacy of that
