Performance Mode "reset"

Hi,

is there a shortcut in the performance mode, which set all changes back to the programmed reset?

Example:
If I change a lot of values in a break it is kind of difficult with two hands to get back to the original setting —

maybe I just missed it in the manual…

Only way I know of is to save the kit with all the values at 0 then reload it. Course it will undo other changes such as track levels etc. you’ve made in the meantime.

Pressing FUNCTION+PLAY should Clear the Performance page
Otherwise keep a default state of your kit then after making changed in real time , reloading the kit NO+KIT will bring you back to default values.
Maybe describe better what you need

Func & Play clears either the track or the pattern unless you’re in the performance configure page when it clears the performance definitions. I think it was a way to clear the values that was required.

you’re right smokyfrog…I wrote badly…instead I was meaning to instruct with PERFORMANCE PAGE button+PLAY …it should do that…if I remember correctly.

Anyway…the only way to revert to a known state is the KIT RELOAD function (NO+KIT)

Hey that’s interesting, thanks. Works almost perfectly. I say ‘almost’ because on my A4 the performance of encoder I is not reset but set to 64 as if it was bi-polar (it isn’t).

Possibly a bug - or something I missed? It does the same on other kits too, although it’s possible I copied the performance from a common source…

make sure the parameter level of the performance knob mode is set to 0 (in the center) and not all the way down to the left, then save the kit.

I was looking for a way to reset the performance values easily at one go, Google led me here. Found two ways, where the second one works really well but adds a little “jump” when you turn all values to 0.

First way is just to do FUNC + QPER to mute all performance “edits”, then you can manually change each value to 0 and unmute when done. Kind of suck that you still have to edit them all manually, but at least you can take your time.

However, this second method works much better, but can introduce a little “jump”. First, change the QPER knob to 0, then set QPER to all the performance modifiers at one go (instead of just one or a few), so changing the knob changes all the values at the same go.

Then when you want to reset all the values to zero, just nudge up the QPER knob a tiny bit, then down again, all values are now zero  Be careful with your nudge though, as if you have very sensitive macros setup, it’ll be audible.

Or, use it to your advantage and before assigning QPER to all the performance modifiers, set it to maximum, and when you want to turn everything to 0, turn the knob quickly to zero. I’m getting some cool effects that way as well, but very chaotic if you have a ton of them.

Hope no one minds I bump this 8 year old thread, I just couldn’t find any information about being able to reset the values, so thought I’d share what I’ve found for others who might make the same search as me.

Attaching a small video showing how it’s done as well, with both the “From X to 0” and “From X to 100 to 0” methods.
