Playback doesn't start on first step when using Osc1 as Ext L

The Playback of my External Synth doesn’t start on first step when using Osc1 as Ext L. It only starts after the first cycle of the Pattern.

I’m using A4 with Overbridge in Ableton Live 10. I have a trig on the first Step of the Sequencer. Is this due to Latency? Any work around?

I don’t use this kind of setup but this sort of thing can happen if the trig on step 1 falls into the negative side of the micro-timing scale. This would mean it would actually trigger just before the pattern begins.

Oh well - was worth a shot!
My experiences with latency are delays in milliseconds.
