Playing AF & DN with only one external Midi Keyboard

Hi there,

I have a Keystep37 hooked up to my Analog Four MK II via Midi In to play notes on it. The AF works as my brain and is chained to Digitakt and Digitone. How can I play notes on the Digitone with the Keystep still connected to AF‘s Midi In - while still being able to sequence DT an DN via AF?

So far, I can only:

  • Midi out on AF: sequence DT and DN via AF, play notes on the DN via AF‘s on board keyboard, play notes on AF via Keystep (but not on DN)
  • Midi Thru on AF: play notes on DN and AF via Keystep, but not sequence DT and DN

AF goes into DT Midi In, DT Midi thru goes into DN Midi In.

Hello there.
Try using the Midi Autochannel on the A4. This way you can send Midi to the DT and DN via A4’s OUT or THRU.
Configure the Auto Channel in the Midi Settings of your DN + DT.
Be sure to select the correct Midi Channel on your Keystep. You can change it on the fly via Shift + Key
