When I was 17 I saved the little cash I had to buy a Yamaha RM1x. God knows how many hours of my life I spent with that. I was frustrated by the sound engine/lack of sound design limitations at the time. Little did I know I had a very powerful sequencer on my hands.
I later moved away and left it at my folks’ apartment only to fetch it many years later. The tracks were mostly shit, but the memories they awakened priceless.
Eventually I sold it after buying Digitakt, but I regret not recording what I made over the years.
