Hi,
is it possible to create a random sequence on the Analog Keys?
I like the Octatrack-Randomize-Function in the LFO-Design-Menu and a similar function for the Analog Keys would be awesome.
Greetings, Sammy

Not sure if this is what you are after ,
But I have been playing around with random sounds on my analog keys recently …
This is one of my experiments, with a sound on each of the four voices , which then have one note pressed and ‘held’ , the sequencer is not running and there is no pattern programmed

This sounds really nice and modular.
I´m searching for a function that creates a random sequence with different steps and pitches just like the Randomize Function in the Proppellerheads Reason Matrix Pattern Sequencer or the Octatrack LFO-Design-Randomize-Function…
In Elektron-land those things tend to be properties of the sound engine rather than the sequencer. Sequences tend to go forward and trigger the same actions on each pass.
Personally I make variations by making multiple copies of a pattern, manually change each one wildly, then switch patterns frequently in performance. Or do a single pattern but use polyrhythms, like here https://soundcloud.com/smokyfrog/ipomea
This thread is so old but my idea somewhat related…
It’s not possible to randomize pattern changes, is it? Like i just hit play and at the end of the pattern it just jumps to another pattern in the same bank, like A7, then next A10, then A2, A6 and so on…
I was playing with follow actions in Live and it hit me that this would be a nice little feature on Elektron stuff. I guess it would be like Pattern Conditions, rather than Trig Conditions.
Could be a really sweet way to mix up some sounds and melodies…
I should probably add this to a feature request list somewhere
Did you ever find a way to do this? Randomize pattern changes? Trying to figure out a way as well…
Apologies for fishing up an old thread…
that would be awesome!
side question. is there an official feature request page for the this kinda inquiry?
this thread must be sentient bc I was wondering today if any of the elektron stuff can send random pattern (program) change data? Any answers? The dream is to make a punch of AR drum patterns and let it go nuts endlessly…
They cannot.
There is no official page, but you can send feature-requests to:
