Unfortunately I couldn’t find anything sensible about it …
is it possible to record midi data from ableton to digitakt and if so, how does it work?

just send midi to it like any other synth and hit record…
use regular midi not overbridge…
if you dont know how it might be better just looking for a ableton tutorial video on youtube
