Record to several midi tracks at once?

I have my midi tracks setup so that they respond to different channels. However, if I start recording and if I send midi data to the Octatrack via multiple channels, only the channel corresponding to the track that I currently have selected is recorded.

For reference, on my Syntakt I can record on all the tracks at the same time if I send midi data on all corresponding channels.

Ok, I’m not really a bumper kind of person but here goes. I’ve played around trying to get this to work. Here’s to one final try in this forum before I contact Elektron themselves and see if they have anything to say on this matter.

That’s the expected behaviour for the Octatrack.

So there’s no way to record on several midi channels at the same time as is possible on the Syntakt?
