I am considering getting a DT as I am looking for a drum machine for my gigs. Sorry if my question sounds stupid, I am from another planet. I am using a M8 from dirtywave for sequencing other gears. The M8 is the brain sequencer for all my stuff, but was hoping to pair it with a DT for all strictly rhythmic/percs/drums things. That way I can free my stereo output of the M8 for other blip blop things and control my harsh drums on DT with ease and hardware effects.
I want to be able to record midi from the M8 (because it is really fun and precise/random at the same time) to the DT. My concern is about the precision of recording midi in the DT.
Retrig/Ratcheting is working on midi out with the M8, but i can’t figure if the DT would record the incoming midi correctly on the pattern, or if it is only going to be record as one note per step with weird quantization. Do you have an idea ?
