Recording to DN/DT sequencer with Ableton Push via Overbridge

Hi,

I was wondering if its possible to play something off my Push 2 and have it recorded to the Digitone/Digitakt sequencers which are connected to Ableton via Overbridge. I know I can leave a track on the DN/DT blank and send midi clips from Ableton, but im really hoping theres a way I can record that midi into their respective sequencers so I can continue to mess about with plocks. If not, is it possible to do in USB midi mode?

Yes I do it, just send midi to it the regular way as any synth…
sending notes to the plugins it isn’t possible to record into the sequencer…

I think Im just a little confused as to how to send midi from ableton to the digitone when its connected via Overbridge. Like when I insert a midi track and select the dropdown for Midi To, the only options are the plugin and my audio interface. Are you saying that, even when connected via Overbridge, I can send midi to the digitone via my audio interface and record it that way?

Edit: Just tried sending recording midi to the tracks via my audio interface. Worked great, didn’t know it take midi inputs while I have overbridge running. Thanks!
