Recording trigs with midi keyboard like a4

looking to get a digitone and im wondering if you can set trigs to certain notes in record mode on a midi keyboard like you can do on the analog four

thanks! however, I’m still wondering if one can simply hold down a note on a midi keyboard and hold down a trig on the dn to set the trig to the note
