hi all
a4 mk2
if i hold func+rez no matter where rez is it goes to ZERO, is this the same with you? seriously i can have rez at 99 and it goes to zero.
this is so frustrating
thanks anyone

what is it that you were anticipating would happen ?
well most / some other params jump half scale so i would expect that - could you not answer instead of asking more questions?
so yours jumps from 120 to zero if you press func+rez and twist clockwise? i would expect it to hit 127
That is the question, easy enough, if yes that is how it is , if no then i have an issue
someone else might be motivated to actually go and try, i’m certainly not now
having res jump to 127 sounds like a thing for Elektron to deliberately block - if you want a value to jump up in steps from where it is, press and turn
there’s benefit in having fn steps on Pan e.g., but there’s absolutely none for resonance, it’s just arbitrary to my thinking, and especially supporting snapping to 127
i wouldn’t expect it to do more than it does for you, some others offer useful considered snap points, some offer nothing more than arbitrary min/max
something like filter tracking should offer a snap to 32 (100% keytrack) but for some reason it seems mostly it’s just a default with no added value
i don’t really desire 127 on rez too often, then again sometimes i might or i might like 64 quickly, the point is it seems counter intuitive that wherever it is set if i twist it clockwise it would zero out hence my query
the effect of the parameter wasn’t the question, it was is it the same with anyone else a4
Same behavior for me: fn + turning res encoder in any direction sets it to zero. Makes sense for me.
thankyou @ccr CCR
well to me it makes absolutely no sense for something to go anti clockwise when i twist clockwise but we are all different thankfully at least i know it isn’t my unit which is what i was concerned about
