What a loss. No one played or sounded like him, ever. I still remember hearing Wired for the first time back in high school – still one of my favorite records. RIP

Oddly never heard any of his music, maybe apart from if he’s had a big radio hit at some point. Couldn’t name any of his songs. And I know my classic rock.

And I was rediscovering him yesterday night… RIP. Great guitar playing. So diverse and with so much imaginations… I don’t think I’ve heard anybody who can pull off so many different sounds and articulations out of the instrument. Just listening to him is very educative and fun for anybody who is into the music. Any kind of music.

The first time I ever heard of Jeff Beck was when I saw this video on MTV. This was when all my music listening came from either MTV or broadcast radio - no Spotify, Apple Music, or whatever yet:
