Routing A4 midi to Cubase

Hi All
I can send midi via the A4 keyboard to Cubase no problem
But when I play a recording on the A4 no midi is getting sent to Cubase
Not sure if I need to adjust midi mapping or what
Appreciate your help guys

It won’t work, unfortunately. The sequencer does not send midi notes.
