Any suggestion for Rumble kick processing ? Any lfo tricks for rumble movement ?
I don’t really make rumble kick techno bass, so YMMV
but I tried out the audio input filterbank technique (described in the manual), running a Rytm beat into AK and splitting the 4 tracks into low/low mid/high mid/high
With some overdrive and resonance on hp & lp filters the kick turned into a long resonant rumble, without even using any reverb
I imagine if you soak a kick in Verb then try that it should get somewhere close

Hej!
I’m using a Rytm MK1. This trick made me happy when I figured it out and I wanted to share it.
Here goes my thinking:
- Sending a kick to reverb creates a nice rumble but the click/transient forces me to pull down the lowpass of the reverb.
- Lowpassing the reverb makes it unusable for the other the sounds
- I only have one reverb
Instead:
- Allow the reverb’s filters to let almost everything pass, tune to taste.
- Send a good amount of kick to the reverb, I used 44.
- Use the kick track’s LFO to duck the reverb send level during the transients.
- LFO settings: mod=ONE, wav=exp, dep=-40, spd=11, mul=256.
Making the LFO faster makes the reverb tail brighter and vice versa.
Have fun!
