RYTM bitcrush bug

i am having more and more problems with the bitcrush bug with overbridge with the rytm. before it would happen sporadically but recently it is happening every 5 minutes or so. cant seem to find any posts with any info on this or any workarounds to stop it happening. its starting to get frustrating having to shut down the machine every time. any help would be gratefully appreciated.

same here. using ar and a4 connected with an 8port-usb-hub. after some time one machines starts to crackling…without overbridge (analog only) its working fine.

so how is this a bug out of interest, are you using a supported hub type ?

usb straight into the computer for rytm and a4. funnily enough the a4 just started doing it just now also.
all of a sudden the sound of the whole machine sounds like it is going through some kind of sharp bit crusher, sometimes it corrects itself, sometimes not.

try rytm OR a4 as your computer is likely a hub, just in case
the demands of OB are minuscule on usb bandwidth, but keep it simple and unplug as much as possible just to check & rule out the basics

tried AR or A4 without hub - but the same kind of sharp after a few minutes. my first suggestion was, there is anything wrong with the hub. so i connected my elektron machines solo in the hub-port of my computer.

try to jam on mac 10.10.3 with ableton 9.2.3
new installation of overbridge shows no improvement…

its pathetic…

im getting the same results no matter where i plug the usb. the annoying thing is its getting worse and now the a4 is constantly doing it too which it wasnt before… any news on when the next overbridge update is coming?

still no details ! …not doubting this, but most people get this release to work successfully, so maybe you need to bottom out why it’s not working with your mac/pc/daw/etc with support, see if it’s something else besides the plugin ! the first thing they’ll ask for is details :zonked:

Signed up because of the same issue with overbridge/AR bitcrusher.
new macbook pro (3 month old), AR connected by USB directly to macbook port, Ableton + OB, usually happens after a random amount time.
So weird and annoying…

Same here. I cant work on my machine anymore.

Got my RYTM in seperat USB (no Hub, straight in), 8 Channels run throught Overbridge in to Ableton, Output via TC interface.
Every five minutes a shutdown. Very annoying indeed.
And it doent help if I change the setup.

Hope the new Update will fix that problem.

Which specific Mac models and specific MacOSes are you using?

No issues here on my two machines.
1 is Mavericks 10.9.5 on a 2008 Mac Pro 3,1 - 8x2.8ghz, 8GB ram, SSD
2 is Yosemite 10.10.5 on a 2009 MacBookPro 2.8ghz Core2Duo, 8GB, Hybrid SSHD

I assume you’ve each submitted support tickets too, yes?

I use a MacBookPro mid 2009,Yosemite 10.10.2, 2.8ghz Core2Duo, 8gb Ram and a SSD 500gb (350gb free space) so pretty much the same as you have.

I havent submitted a support ticket yet.
First, I need to figure out how that works and where I can submit.
I’m new to Elektrons Overbrigde.
So far I was more into Computer/Macless music.

Probabely I set wrong Live settings.
I run Ableton/Overbrigde with 256Sample Buffersize and 48000 Sample Rate as Overbrigde automatically sets.
I Freezed all the Tracks that I hardly change, set all Reverbs on Eco.
The CPU load is around 35% to 65% depending on how many Clips and FX are runnin’.

Hmmm… will write the elektron guys and see what the think about.

I got a reply.
Try Factory reset.
turn off device, start the machine with function pressed and then press trig 3.
I think it worked for me.
I did a long session yesterday and no bit crush bug…

Is it still fixed after the factory reset?
Did the Factory Resets delete all samples and Projects?
