RYTM or Machinedrum UW differences besides analog?

Hey guys,

I wanted to order a Machinedrum SPS UW but it’s been out of stock and it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen anytime soon. So, now I’m looking at the RYTM. With the new update it seem that the RYTM is getting closer to the functionality of the MD. Can anyone that maybe owns both elaborate on the main differences sonically? Will I be able to craft the same goodness with the RYTM that I would with the MD?

Thanks guys.

They are different machines. The sequencer in the AR is a decade newer than the MD. They use completely different sound generating mechanisms. The MD samples live, the AR does not.

They are very different - you can’t go wrong either way.

Whattup upright this be the mpc60champ

Two different beasts. I know you like your modulrs your probably like the CV routing of the RYTM and the analog waves of the RYTM and using the analog VCA envelopes.

Machine drum is good for on the fly sampling and bitcrushing
