How would u guys test out a S/H Samples to make sure its functioning fully?

Ps is there different versions of the Samples I mean updated version?
There’s a setup menu I think if you hold down FUNC on power up, but I don’t think it has a test mode, its just for factory resets/firmware updates. I think the only way to test it is to physically test every parameter. I could be wrong though…
If you just power it on normally, the current firmware will be displayed on the screen during startup.

Just been sent a video of the unit I’m going to buy but why is it being powered from the left side

Yeah, there’s the power supply on the back and another one in the side that’s for the battery handle that never got finished.

Oh so it’s OK and nothing to worry about 
Nothing at all. The one in the side is a slightly different barrel size, I think, so what fits one won’t fit in the other, but a lot of people use the side one with battery packs, as it’s a more common size. The one in the back is tiny.
