yeah, I found that out as well… but just use the quick save (YES + Sound) and then you can save it as normal… note that sounds are saved on the +drive
you can also save directly to the pool, bypassing +Drive, if you have space in the Pool
( Save )+( Sound ) followed by ( < ) then ( Yes )
nice!
can i rename, customize categories? .
if you mean tags, no !
Does it still save to the +Drive?
What’s the role of the flash memory from pre-OS1.1? Is the data on this still read/written in 1.1?
Am I really stupid?
The explanation of the Pool in the manual isn’t really adequate. Yet another Elektron head-scratcher! IMHO there would be far less need for this forum if usability and documentation were done properly. The machines are amazing and powerful, but too often completely maddening.

also means yes !
no comprende ! but old sounds etc will still load !
only for neglecting to read the second post in the thread (& nuance of my reply)
i spend 1 - 2 hours yesterday reading the manual … save + sound then navigate to left / right to either pool or +drive
sooo simple, thanks guys!
The only problem with the YES and SOUND short cut is, when cursoring left into the pool, you drop into slot 128 rather than the next available slot from the top, as with the large sound storage section.
Is there any way to change that behaviour?
hello, thanks for your tips and explanations. i understand the +drive and soundpool architecture a little better now.
i am looking for a way to save the current track sound in the same place on the +drive. for example, if i have loaded a sound from C112 and then want to overwrite it directly. how do i do that? with the shortcut YES+SND i always get to the next free place in the desired bank. Then I have to search for the sound by name so that I can find it again.
