I did indeed illustrate those way back in the day.
Daniel (RIP) gave me carte blanche to draw whatever I liked, and I drew three posters; a 2001-inspired piece, the Arthurian Lady in the Lake piece, and the futuristic samurai piece above.
When they came out, I lived in Japan, and Five-G music used to have them hanging in their shop. I never told them I drew them, though, because back then, they used to have a sign that said something like, “We do not speak English. All business conducted in Japanese, please.” Hahaha!
These posters are truly one of the high watermarks of my entire illustration carrier. I’m still proud of them.
