Scale setup for live performance question

Hi there.

Wondering what scale setup people use when performing live?

My OT can play loops of 1/64 in length, while my MD (Mk1) can only stretch to 1/32 max. It seems to me that I always have to run the OT in 1/32 also to match the MD, which really limits me if I want to create longer variations in melody.

Maybe there’s a workaround for this that I’m not getting?

Is there much more of an advantage having the 1/64 capability with the MD Mk2?

you know about chain mode of patterns?

you could half the speed of the MD to gain resolution …
