School me on modern hip hop

hip hop’s new rising star, from London. He’s at the top of the world charts since after covid. I like what it does: no autotune, simple sampled beats and he kicks it! I like the Jamaican influence in the flow and the style.

This should keep you busy the comming months.

I used to listen to a lot of Bambaataa doing DJ sets on XM radio.
It always blew my mind how diverse his taste in music was and that he probably felt it all fit into the realm of hip hop.
Rap is a deep genera with just as many flavors as any other genera.
If you feel like somethings missing, you’re just not digging deep enough.
The leap from Bambaataa to Tribe was huge, and it continues with each generation.
With any genera I always find appreciation in the current up coming generations take on influences of the past.
It’s gets spun in new and a lot of times more polished ways.
It starts to become perfect versions of the past.

Pete & Bas are the best of modern hip hop :star_struck: :boom: :boom: :boom:

Chris Orrick from 2015. The whole album is dope

German rap at it’s best. If you don’t understand German maybe not as admirable as it should be - the lyrics are really really good and clever
