Sending Audio from my Mark11 to Mark1 Analog4

I’m trying to monitor my sound from Analog 4 Mk11 to my Analog4 Mk1. I can get the Mk1 sequencer to run from the MK11 clock, but whatever I’ve tried I haven’t been able to hear the output of the Mk11 along with the sequencing on the Mk1.
Can anyone please help me? I’m wyncing the two machines via the old midi rather than USB not that this should matter

you need to open the external inputs per kit - raise levels from default zero per channel and pan appropriately too

Sorry to be such a pest but I don’t know what you mean and I can’t find it in the manual

Have you connected the audio outputs of your AF MkII to the audio inputs of your AF MkI?

On the FX track of your AF Mk1, what have you set for the two VOL parameters?

How are you listening to the output of the AF MkI?
