Hi guys, so I have read the manual and watched the review video with Cenk and co, but still cannot manage to get this sorted out. Firstly, in the review video, the section on the VST is called audio routing, on my vst it says sidechain routing…is this relevant? Secondly, will you only be able to pipe audio (eg from a vst in Ableton) through the AK if you are using the AK as your soundcard? If anyone could help here I would be most grateful. All I am trying to do is route a simple Sylenth patch through the AK using my UCX fireface as a soundcard but all I get is a horrible white noise!
Many thanks!
anyone?
Answered this on the review thread already, but here it is again:
Yeah, you just need to make sure that the channel or channels you’re sending to are open in Overbridge control first - and also the relevant out channel unless you’re happy running it through the main outs. Then select the channel as a side chain in the plugin and send the audio to it from a track in the same way as doing sidechaining with a compressor or other plug in ableton - and another audio channel to receive the audio back.
You don’t need to use the Elektron as your sound card.
very kind. thanks Benway
