Hi Gang!
I am Sequencing and clocking my Eurorack gear with the AK without issues. I am using out A for Picth cv, out B for Gate, out C for Clock. Everything works.
If only I could send a Clock Reset to my doepfer sequencer (A-154) so they always run together in phase if needed, that would be the dream.
Theorically sending a Trig via cv out D to the ext. reset of the sequencer should do the trick. But The trig would have to arrive before the downbeat because the A-154 is preparing for reset at the next clock beat as opposed to other sequencer resetting immediately independently from the clock.
In other words, if the trig arrives dead-on in time, the reset happens one clock beat too late.
I need an CV trig on the last clock beat of a bar. So that the reset happens on the Downbeat.
How do I make this happen with the AK / A4?
I do own a Multiclock wich of course does solve the problem but I would like to have the option to use only the AK straight into the modular sometime.
Thanks for your time!
Seems rather straightforward, so perhaps your question isn’t entirely clear to me
If you need to create a CV event on step X then (use e.g. the FX track and) place a trig on step X - either a gate or value-lin type can be used
Select the source for CV-D as FX track and that ‘gate’ can be timed to arrive and last as long as you need
If using value-lin then target value-lin from a modulator … e.g. env/lfo
remember that you can sequence cv/gate from the FX track if you want to use the cv track for other cv tricks
i.e. there is a degree of flexibility to time a periodic pulse to occur once per pattern or even to happen only on demand using TRCs or performance macros etc
That seems too obvious so maybe your question isn’t clear … if it’s more a matter of timing, then place the necessary reset trig between the final trig and initial trig, you can do this by microtiming a step either way to have it happen on the ‘and’ of a clock stream (or alternatively you could exploit the phase of an LFO to stagger the timing)

It is me who did not think it through. Thanks a lot!!!
