Hey,
I want to buy and sequence my Korg MS-20 mini with E: MS (via CV?).
Will it work?
Should I buy the SQ-1 sequencer or the Elektron seq will get it?
Thank you so much !

Yes, but you’ll need to use MIDI, as the Model series doesn’t output CV. Also, you’ll have to sacrifice a track, as they don’t have separate tracks for MIDI sequencing.
Also, if the Minis are like the FS, they ONLY respond to Note messages on Ch 1. I don’t know if you can change the MIDI channel assignments on the M:S/M:C.
If you want to sequence the synthesiser controls, you’ll need another device (like the SQ-1). If you want to use a different MIDI channel, you’ll need some kind of MIDI processor to rewrite the messages from the source channel to channel 1).
MIDI output channel can be changed per track.
Also keep in mind the ms20 is not volt/octave so just check the sequencer you use has hz/v (the little korg has that possibility - each row can be set independently)
There are also disadvantages of sequencing with analogue inputs as opposed to midi. Especially that the glide is before the analogue interface so it only works from the keyboard or in the case of the MS20 mini, with external midi control - A huge bonus over the original
