I would like to trigger my drum samples live without the step mode and sequenced them… is that possible? I would also like to play my MIDI channels in the same way and sequence them live.
Is the Digitakt purely a step sequencer? I’m confused. Please help!
If you press 1-8 buttons you trigger the sounds. To trigger this 1-8 sounds from an external midi, this device must be able to assign keys to midi channel. Check the manual. Midi 1 - sound 1, midi 2 - sound 2 and so on till 8.
You can live record your performance on the pads/via midi and have it quantised or not…
The real fun is editing that sequence data post capture.
