Sequential Prophet 6

It was explained to me that the LFE can trigger LFO events per voice / note event. Not sure if every MIDI box can do that but I also don’t know how musically important that is…it would depend on what you’re trying to do.

Thanks so much for listening! I still love it so much, it’s such a fantastic, inspiring instrument :relaxed: The only synth I’m really interested in now is a Buchla. The prophet finished my search for an analog poly synth

Per voice would be nice, since the P6/OB6 LFO is global only.

Someone asked him about DIY/Open source and he said no, because it can still be just as much work for him. Understandable honestly.

I think the most difficult part is the firmware. If we had the source code, making the hardware would be relatively easy.

Yeah, I always thought the box was a bit big. If we could get the firmware and slim it down that would be great. The perfect heist really.

You can drive the “get away moped”; I’ll cover the gas charging bill and bring my own helmet.

Deal. Ocean’s 11 is gonna look like amature hour compared to our heist.

We’re gonna make The Usual Suspects look like From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money.

We’ll more respected and feared than the serial killer tire from the movie Rubber!

We’re gonna make french fries look like raw potatoes.

We’re gonna need an insider at Yoreck Tech to get us some blueprints for the LFE. The most advance Prophet 6 control system ever conceived.

I’ll call in a favor to the wildman living in the woods behind his house. He owes me for a sausage festival fundraiser I put on for his pet bat to get eye surgery (he was blind).

He actually said someone could take over the company but I don’t think that’s me.

Perfect, the plan is really coming together now. I will practice my dance moves for the big distraction.

I think that’s you.

I know a community of engineers who live in a Frymaster 4FQG30U Quad grease fryer behind a diner in Nebraska. They owe me a favor, I’ll see what I can do.

Now we’re cooking with gas.

That’s one hell of a fryer to be living in.

High class. They cost like $70,000. These guys are living the dream!

You seem handy with a soldering iron, maybe you could mod the Matriarch. I remember reading on GS last year, a couple people modded their Matriarch’s so that the filter would open more. Apparently, with the filter set all the way open there is still a cutoff. They listed the part to swap out. Might get more high end sizzle. I’ve thought about modding mine, but I don’t do much soldering.

I actually like the darker sound of the Matriarch. I’ll keep that in mind if my attitude changes about it down the road. Good to know someone else has already done the hard work of researching it.

I have a good return policy on the Subsequent 37 if I don’t like it. It’s arriving next week, so I should know more in the next 2-3 weeks.

My decision from there will determine how long until I try a Prophet 6.

Yeah, I also like the darker sound of the Matriarch. I think it’s part of the mojo. The Sub’s also sound great. The multidrive is pretty magic on those. And having selectable filter slopes really opens things up.
