SERIOUS: Do You Like 80's Artists?

One of the most inspiring 80s artists / albums for me has got to be Spirit of Eden by Talk Talk.

Bowie’s Scary Monsters album was released in 1980! IMO his best, along with the Berlin trilogy.

Their earlier more poppy stuff was also great. Great synth sounds.

Edit - maybe my favourite:

Belgium’s Telex:

At the 1980 Euro vision contest…with a longish dutch intro before the song starts…

…and probably there most famous 1979 :man_shrugging: released song…

Robert Palmer had big hits in the 80’s but to me he is a great album artist. This is from the album Pride.

Rupert Hine, producer (Tina Turner, Stevie Nicks) made great solo albums.

One of my favs.

and B-side to Sledgehammer

one more, Prefab Sprout, produced by Thomas Dolby

I find this thread hilarious. I was a student in the '80’s and an avid collector / listener. Half the suggestions here I loved (though often earlier cuts, and some I no longer care for) and half I despised!
