I’ve had my Mono keys for 10 years now and it looks like it needs a new internal battery.
Elektron advised me to find a tech rather than send back to Sweden, and I just wondered if anybody had done this themselves to give me the low down on how to do it? I know somebody who is good with electronics, but I just wanted to give him a heads up on best practice if anybody out there has experience of this.
They also recommended I replace the existing battery with one that can be easily removed from a holder, rather than de-soldered.
As I understand it you need to remove the encoder knobs before removing the top plate. The battery is on the lower PCB.
I was hoping there would be some internal photos of the Mono online to get my bearings from but I couldn’t find any.
Any advice will be great.
