I have a pretty good version of Shepard’s tone working on Digitone. I think the method I used would work on other Elektron devices. Maybe someone has suggestions for improvement.
1.) Using a simple sinusoid audio signal (Sound 1) of length 64, I set the first lfo to syn pitch and adjusted it to pitch up an octave over 64 steps. (syn pitch, ramp, spd 4, dep 12, bpm 4, fade 0, sph 0, mode 1/2 cycle)
2.) After turning the amp vol down to zero on the amp page, I set the second lfo to fade in and fade out the signal volume over the 64 steps. (amp vol, tri wave, spd 8, dep 100, bpm 2, fade 0, sph 0, mode 1/2 cycle) Now, with one trigger over 64 steps, there’s a signal that goes from zero volume, up to a maximum, and back down to zero while going up an octave in pitch.
3.) Finally, on one track I laid down four triggers, 16 steps apart, that divide the octave equally (C, D#, F#, A). I repeated this on a second track to use all eight voices.
