Soft padded case for an Octatrack

Does anyone use a soft case that fits snug around an Octatrack?

I’m looking for something to pop it into before putting it in my backpack.

I noticed Elektron do a carry backpack for it, but would prefer something that fits snugly around it and I can then put it safely in my regular backpack.

Any ideas?

(similar things are probably also available)

I use that one, not for an ot (but still precisely that one). This is fairly priced and very nice quality.

Yeah, fits the OT nice and snuggly and feels like it’ll take some of the impacts. Also a nice size for a DT/DN/ST and some cables or the PSU.

I’d get one of those Decksaver lids for it too, if you don’t have one yet. Sticking something with encoders into a soft case is asking for trouble.

The Pulse case comes with firm wavy foam in the lid that compresses nicely into the knobs. It’s not going to survive being run over by a truck or anything but I’ve zero concerns about mine when it’s in there under normal in a backpack use.

I’m sure it’s fine, but I don’t like to have sustained presssure on pots and encoders like that if I can avoid it. Unless they’re panel mounted.

It’s one of the most expensive things I’ve ever bought ($1200 for a MKI was almost twice what the Juno 6 cost a year earlier) and I wouldn’t be able to replace it if anything happened to it, so I’m pretty careful when I take it anywhere.
