Oooh a mystery. If I had to guess based purely on the photo it looks like something to interface two objects together or a mounting plate of some kind.
I don’t know the Prophet 5 but does it have anything like that?
I did a reverse image search and got the same kind of things I was thinking of. Might be a total red herring though.
What does the other side look like?

No, the keys are all weighted fine, but I do think you guys are correct and it’s a key weight. Factory must have put an extra one in there!
