Wouldn’t it be cool if there was a function to just completely randomize the parameters of a sound patch for the A4 or the Rytm? It would create just some completely insane patches, and when you come across one you kind of like, you could just tweak it until it sounds good. They implemented this idea on the Korg Volca Drum I got recently and it works really well. Of course, on the A4, you would need to have the option to randomize certain parameters and not others, I think if you could randomize the Oscillators, then the filters, and the modulators, separately, it would work out pretty well. Only thing I could see going terrible wrong is the oscillators being way out of tune and resonance on the filters being ludicrous. Thoughts?
The current recently implemented randomisation facility is a quite good compromise and there are a few older threads talking about this which include references to third party utilities which do more than the per page randomisation built into the Elektrons
there is a per page randomization thing in the elektrons??? where???
If you have not done so already, download the latest version of the manual for your instrument(s) from Elektron’s website and search for the word “randomize”.
You may need to update the OS for your instruments if you are running an old version.
link?
I’m running OS 1.50A on my Analog Keys I think
You’ve got the right firmware then.
You can find notes here on randomise that came into effect at 1.40
